VSCO Film Review
I’m happy to share this with VSCO Film review with you today – it excites me, it inspires me, and I know it will answer some questions people have. All of my clients tell me that they love the natural look and feel of my photos. They like how my ‘edits’ aren’t heavily overdone or fake looking – almost like there’s hardly any editing at all. I’ve always tried to keep my photos looking as natural as possible. Have you ever noticed that in the world of photography, editing trends come and go? And have you ever noticed that we’re still always drawn to natural, timeless looking photographs? We just never get tired of them!
I have always been an Adobe guy – editing all my weddings and shoots using Lightroom and/or Photoshop. I would use Lightroom to batch all my photos together, cull through them and choose which photos to keep and which photos to discard. Then I would send each one to Photoshop, apply an action or two, then send them back to Lightroom for the final export. Using the two programs together got the job done, but it would take hours. And hours. It was getting to the point where I would dread editing all together… mostly due to the time it took.
I had tried a few Lightroom presets in the past but was never satisfied with the results. I enjoyed using the program due to it’s quick and efficient way of handling RAW images. So I said to myself one day – there has GOT to be someone out there who’s created beautiful, simple presets. Ones that are easy to use and have a natural, earthy feel. Enter VSCO film for Lightroom. The website was fresh. The reviews were superb. And best of all – the presets – wow! Without hesitation I purchased VSCO Film Pack 01 (which at the time was the only set available). The pack includes custom camera profiles for Fuji, Canon and Nikon which is great! With 25 color & 10 Black & White presets, you’re left with so many options. Plus you also receive VSCO Tools, which are so handy for quick adjustments across the board. The choices are endless, and every time I sit down to edit I’m blown away with how stunning each of the presets really are. I still adjust exposure, blacks, highlights etc. like usual, but what’s nice is that you can still have FULL control of these once the presets are applied.
All-in-all I have nothing but
great AMAZING things to say about VSCO Film. Their presets have saved me hours and hours of time, which leaves me with more time to spend with my wife and son. And there’s nothing more important than that! Thank you VSCO!
Below are a handful of images I wanted to share with you. All have been done 100% thru Adobe Lightroom. Some of the frames were accomplished with a single click, while others needed a few tweaks here and there. Even the most extreme edits took under 2 minutes from start to finish.
